How Can I Get Rid of Cat Fleas?
i have 2 cats and one is covered in fleas, its discusting. shes always scratching herself and shes a white cat so i always see them. i tried that spray stuff but they came back. is their anything else i can do?

fles drops start working in about a week. but you can't use the cheap kind, it sucks. try advantage, that's what i use on my cat. and they have a new one now that prevents heartworms and stuff. also, you have to shampoo the carpet or they'll keep coming back. try to keep your bhouse cool too because fleas don't survive well in cold temperatures

Go to a local pet store and get a flea bath - get the kind that lasts for 30 days. It will say to shampoo the cat and leave it on for 5 mins... leave it on for 10. Make sure you get the kind for cats and not dogs because cats are more sensitive than dogs; the dog kind can make your cat very sick. Dry your cats completely.
After the bath you can supplement that treatment with a bio spot or flea collar. Then take your cats out to your car and flea bomb your house, wash all places the cats sleep and treat with flea powders and sprays. Repeat bath in 28 days and repeat supplemental treatments.
just go to a pet shop. like Petsmart or Petco. Ask one of the assistants and tell them you need a cure for getting rid of cat flees.
Advantage or Frontline for cats. Forget the spray, use the once monthly spot treatment on the back of the neck. I prefer Advantage for indoor cats since Frontline is also for ticks and I feel Advantage may be less toxic. Also, Advantage has worked in cases when Frontline hasn't in my cats. Also, get her checked/dewormed for tapeworm by your vet, which she likely has and which is transmitted by fleas. And vacuum like a madwoman in your home, washing all blankets and kitties stuff in hot water. Also, and this goes without saying, keep your cat strictly indoors for her health and safety.
First, try giving them a yeast bath. You will need the little packets of yeast that come in threes from any store (very cheap) and some Dawn dish soap. You may need to buy to a few packets of the yeast just to be sure that you have enough. Fill your sink with a decent amount of water and put two of the individual packets in the water and stir it around a bit. Next, submerge kitty in the water and wet thoroughly. Suds kitty up with the dish soap and empty the remaining individual packet of yeast on your cat and continue to work the soap and yeast mixture through for a good while. Be generous with the dish soap and yeast as well (why you may want to pick up extra packets before hand). Rinse first with the yeast water and then take kitty out and put in the other side of the sink and rinse completely with the faucet. Then dry kitty off and use a fine tooth comb to get rid of the dead fleas because they will just fall off in random places and you will have a bunch of random flea corpses all around your house. This worked wonders for my cats, I never even had to get medication for them after doing this. In, fact I have used Frontline and many other top brands and none have seemed to work for me, but they may for you. A flea dip may also work. Be sure to buy them flea collars just in case and use flea bombs in your house. My mom's boyfriend also used boric acid to rid of possible fleas in her house (not sure how safe that is) while they were out of the house.
Use frontline or advantage. They work the best. Anything else is a waste of money.
